Menu Plan Monday Week 10

We had such a fun and busy weekend! Friday we traveled to Dallas and went to "Day Out with Thomas". We rode on a real train pulled by Thomas the Tank Engine! Radio Disney was there and filmed us playing games for the Disney Channel. I won the parent version of "Simon Says". My mother is still astounded that I finally follow directions!
Saturday was spent watching the kids compete at Irish dancing from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.
They have all been working really hard and it really is paying off. We came home with a couple of handfuls of medals. Their hard work translates to hard work for me as two of the girls now need new dresses to compete in and the good news and the bad news is...I can sew! Actually I'm really excited about it. The dresses are unbelievably ornate and whimsical which makes it super fun for me!
We ended our weekend by taking my mother out for a belated birthday lunch at Benihana. We had a great time...best of all we didn't have to cook or clean up!

But now back to normal (when related to my family, I use that term loosely).
Here is our plan....

Monday: breakfast: out while shopping; lunch: leftovers; dinner: Swedish meatballs that we didn't get to last week, angel hair pasta (isn't it a little weird...normally no one would eat anything named "hair"), cranberries

Tuesday: breakfast: homemade egg mcmuffins; lunch: BBQ out after field trip to the Houston Ballet; dinner: Goose's Acre while the kids dance

Wednesday: breakfast: Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream; lunch: hamburgers and onion rings; dinner: Rascal Flatts concert at the Rodeo for Mom and Dad, TV dinners for the kids (they think these are so cool...weird, huh?!)

Thursday:
breakfast: Mexican frittata; lunch: chicken sandwiches; dinner: fish and chips, coleslaw

Friday: breakfast: muffins and yogurt; lunch: soup and sandwiches; dinner: Family Fun Night

Saturday: breakfast and lunch: we're going to be in Houston's St. Patrick's Day Parade so we'll be eating on the go; dinner: macaroni and cheese (from the freezer), hot dogs

Sunday: Grandma is in charge so probably...candy.

Have a great week!

  1. It's Saturday and I'm enjoying some MPM blog visiting while watching "Inspector Alleyn Mysteries" on Netflix.
    I love a good mystery.
It's time to expand my recipe sources with some new ideas.
